British Comedy Guide

This is my greatest thing I done.

What was your best, and proudest bit of writing. Not your must succesful mind, or most profitable.

But what did you write, and then think by 'eck thats good.

Maybe it's just a line, or a bit of character description.

Mind would probably be,

"Millions like huss,"

A pun and satire on ernest WW2 propaganda film, and a joke about fish.

I know everybody doesn't get it, and no producer wanted it (though Angel Eye thought it had potential originally) but it's the best thing I've written I reckon.

I just read it and it is good but maybe cut out the 'Nazi' referrence.

I don't think it would work without it. It's kind of the point of the sketch...

About one of the cleverest things I've ever read, and funny, and original, and shows theres a place for clever satire.

It deserves a home in all its full lenght glory, but you may find a shorter version more saleable.

I know but we'd still get the gist of it, I suspect it's not politically correct these days now we're in the EU

Switch it to fascists and you maybe to sell it further afield.

and call the general Herr Flick or something :D

:D

It'll end up like a camp farce that was not anything like I intended. You should be a producer... ;)

Cheers sooty btw

That Grammar Nazis sketch is great stuff, genuinely made me laugh. :)

It needs redoing but I really like this - https://www.comedy.co.uk/forums/thread/3370#56847

Plus my most recent piece called A pain in the glass, which is in critique at the mo'.

I would think yours funny Leevil if it were two women discussing a man they'd slaughtered

Leevil

Really like that one! It's properly good and very snappy with no 'padding'. Well done.

(I know what you mean though -- on Monday I couldn't sleep so at 4am went to watch TV and got three nine-letter words AND the conundrum watching Countdown. I've never got a nine-letter word in the games before EVER!)

Dan

decent skit, and very dark, oddly wnough works better with men in my view.

that said, did no one like my "millions like huss," one liner.

I'm sure I would like it if: a) I knew what the film was and b) I knew the bloke you were referring to, none of which is your fault. I do know that 'huss' is a fish, and I did laugh at that bit though.

(btw your bond book sketch in 'Critique' is potentially the best thing you could write, I reckon)
