What word do you hate the most? Page 3

Quote: Perry Nium @ May 28 2008, 10:11 PM BST

I hate it when people say "skellington" instead of skeleton. And "chimbley" instead of chimney.

And "Get the f**k off me" instead of "Yes! Yes! Shove it deep inside me!".

LOL.

There's a grate new phrase in town (from the US) and it's 'my bad' as in my mistake. Why?

Yes the would grate on me too

That and 'take a chill pill'.

No, take a 'f**k off and die, you c**t' pill.

Laughing out loud

'Innit' as a full stop.
"Pass me the chips, innit."

'Bod' to mean person.
"Oh, he's a lighting bod" F**k you.

Oh and 'twattery' and 'c**tery'.

Those aren't words. They make perfectly good swears look bent.

Innit what an awful word, innit.

Oh dear. I say ace and skellington.

'like'
As in "...so I'm like shut up Mike, like chillax like whatever".
Or "you know when you like, go to the bathroom and people like stare at you for like not washing your hands, like don't you hate that?"

People substitute "um" for 'like'. I hear teens on the bus say it several times in one sentence. I have found myself using it once and I hate myself for it!

I say this. I don't like to.

What I hate is snobs who go 'Well, how was he 'like' that? - ho ho ho!' pretending to not understand it's a contraction of 'like this'. He was like this 'Oh, hello'. It makes sense really, it just sounds crap.

Do you say "Get the f**k off me" as well? ;)

arcs instead of ask

I've never heard that, though people says it's quite common.

Oh dear. I say ace and skellington.

Ah, you misunderstand.

I meant ace as in ave to the above post. I say 'ace' all the time. That and 'magic'.

I'm a twat, for sure.

Oh Skellington I like on account of Jack Skellington who I admire innit

As zooo's arranged for me to rape her, I'm guessing "no". :D

It's a black thing.

And I also use a number of the words listed!

Romance is my thing, so to speak, but when one's deity asks...

Thanks for reminding me Aaron
I hate the word c**t!

Oh phew, ace is still good!

My uncle says that arcs instead of ask thing.
He's white. From London but lives in Manchester. I don't know where it came from!
