Gordon underground.

GORDON BROWN IS POKING AROUND FRITZELL'S DUNGEON WITH JAQUI SMITH

GORDON
Do you really think looking around Fritzells's dungeon is going to make the voters like me? It seems a bit morbid.

JAQUI
Yes, it shows your human side.

GORDON
I mean whose filming this?

JAQUI
Err I am, on my mobile.

QUICKLY WHIPS OUT HER MOBILE.
SUDDENLY MING CAMPBELL WALKS ON

GORDON
Ming what are you doing here?

MING
Nick Clegg dumped me here, he said I was an embrassment.

GORDON
Oh dear...Jaqui

SHE RUNS OFF STAGE SOUND OF DOOR SLAMMING

GORDON
Jings, this is most imprudent, I have a 2 hour speech on tax credits to give.

MING
Shh

GORDON
Why, I'm not boring, I'm not.

MING
No Cameron dumped Thatcher here yesterday, she gets angry if you wake her, very angry.

When I read the title I thought of this as a spoof song to the tune of 'Going Underground' by The Jam... As for the sketch itself, I didnt find much humour in it and I think Fritzell may be past his cellar by date.

Funny, but a minor point: Isn't it Fritzl? I might be wrong.

Hi Sooty

I thought that this was a wee bit contrived with the characters crowbarred into an unreal / unlikely setting - though of course suspension of disbelief and all that...but I was unable to suspend mine I'm afraid

I do like GB saying "Jings" though.

I think there's a core idea, e.g. where do you dump hated leaders?

But Fritzl's dungeon may be the wrong setting.

Nurse the screens!

Thought it was ok, a workable idea is definitely there.
