My iPod hasn't had anything new for a long time one it. I've picked up a few albums but they were all disappointments.
So I'm going ask for a recommendation from across the pond.

I am in love with this girl. If I was a lesbian, I'd take her home and keep her in a cupboard, like all good lesbians would.
I love her too! She's SO wonderful.

Try Slalem's Widget, The Light Bulbs, or Pigs on Skis, I heartily recommend these.
James Yuill (he's on myspace,) fooking great!
If you're looking for a really good album, that you can sit and listen to, from beginning to end, without feeling the need to press fast-foward, I recommend an obscure album, from 1992, called 'Tricks of the Shade', by a group called The Goats. The group had 3 main members, two of which were Native American, the other black. 'Tricks...' is a comical, but also very political concept album, which is filled with great lyrics (the album comes with a lyric sheet, so they can be fully appreciated), and many great little interludes, in which the group-members get to show off pretty good acting skills. Being from 1992, there are one or two references that may now go over a young person's head, e.g. lyrics about people like Manuel Noriega, who were in the news a lot, back in the early '90s, but you can always go to Wikipedia, if you want to find out what they're on about. Oh, and of course, when they refer to "Bush", they mean the original one, not his son.
Here's one of their videos, which I saw played on MTV, back in '92 one solitary time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OslVwbS4fzc&feature=related

No, they massacred that! Plus the imagery of the song doesn't work too well with a man singing it.
