No but I ve met Micheal Jacob and he is definitely too nice to be an accurate portrayal

Quote: Bad dog @ May 20 2008, 4:03 PM BSTThe BBC news item says that scenes from Echo Beach will be seen in Moving Wallpaper series 2, so will that be new scenes? Could be an interesting way of resolving EB plots [bold]for EB fans.[/bold]
You mean there's an Echo Beach fan somewhere in the UK. Pray tell, who is this person?
Patching bits of EB into Moving Wallpaper is a much better proposition. Moving Wallpaper has legs.

I do have a good friend - who I used to be in a band with - he is a producer for Baby Cow and did Ideal, Gavin & Stacey and Nighty, Night but I rarely get a chance to talk to him since he had his success. I'll have to see if he has developed megalomaniac tendencies
Quote: Danny K @ May 20 2008, 5:47 PM BSTBit 'sporty' on here today isn't?
- anyway, I'm a sucker for Corrie, so wadda I know?
More spicy than sporty, definitely not posh and if we had 2 mels they would be melodrama and meltdown.
It was soap producers I was referring to... not sitcom As although Moving Wallpaper was a sitcom the producer, Ben Miller, in it is a soap producer.
And I thought he was great.

There ya go, I was sucked into the make believe Working for any TV producer has got to be a challenge i'm sure

Alan, how did you manage to combine two posts into your own post? Is it in the BB Code somewhere?
Been trying to post this for ages but got thrown off, with the homepage displaying this:
" Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]:
User sitcom_access has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in
/home2/sitcom/public_html/includes/common.php on line 292
Error: Failed to connect to mySQL on localhost "
Did anyone else receive that - or is my computer on the way out?

The web server is throwing a bit of a wobbly at the moment I'm afraid! We're trying to stabalise it by telling it that actually, no it's bum doesn't look fat.
Back on topic...
I'm very pleased ITV had the guts to make this decision. Moving Wallpaper is worthy of a second series but Echo Beach wasn't - I'm surprised they are indeed willing to ditch the high-brow concept and just go with the good stuff.
This f**king thing won't even let me quote now. But...
Danny. The first question. Just quote and post. You don't need any special code.

Nope not quite what I meant Aaron. Copied the second quote and of course when I back-arrowed to search out the first quote and clicked that the original was gone - so just a matter of now pasting - thus pasting in the second quote. If replying to 3 posts at once that would mean minimising and opening another window and running back to the minimised posting like a bird bringing worms back to the nest - oh what am I going on about? Must be because I've been lost in cyberspace for 24hours floating about without oxygen trying to get back into this site. Now Virgin have told me they've f**kked my email up - and I thought I'd caught something nasty from BSforums. Right coming back down for an oxygen refill. Do so hope I can make it back to my desk.

You will find that if you are replying to three quotes/people and you individually reply to all of them then they will get amalgamated - assuming you are the last person to post in the thread. This is what I have found and I may be way off in my assumptions ... but then I usually am
PS disks are in the post
Sorry but Danny has the best avatar ever. I have stolen it for my own purposes.

I assume you're trying to avoid double-posts - like I said, just quote and post. No copying and pasting needed. Everything gets merged.
That's okay Contains Nuts, I'm probably going to change it to a man picking his nose so deep that his forefinger reappears out of his eye socket. I think on the Echo Beach/Moving Wallpaper thread or maybe the General/General thread I've just posted how I came by it. (Somebody posted they were getting aroused by it). Whichever thread it was, I explain how I nicked it off a US Hell's Angel - so if you start using it that's fine by me, hee hee Great - you can take the hit and I can live a bit longer. (Sorry about laughing).
And thanks for that Alan, I'll experiment when I've got more time.
By the way, did you get my second email today, (that's 2 today not 2 in total), thanking you for including the 'Curse of Steptoe' drama?
Several other people who were waiting for a reply from me have complained about only receiving an answer 24 to 48 hours later than the deadline in their email. As that coincided with this forum playing up I thought it was all interconnected - but Virgin have put their hand up now to pissing about. I've recontacted those who phoned up to tear me off a strip by subsequently using good ole' free Yahoo email - it's never let me down - ever. My paid-for email system - every year!

Ah yes, merged. That's the key. Got it now. Thanks all.
Yup I agree.
Moving Wallpaper was good stuff. Echo beach was just poor.
Agree about Echo Beach being poor and desrving binning. Will the revamped Moving Wallpaper be an hour long to accomodate the chunks of soap within it?
