I'm hoping to compile a list of single camera setup British sitcoms that I can work my way through watching, I much prefer this setup, it seems a little more intelligent, no laugh tracks propmting you, and all together a little more modern. All reccomendations welcome. Thanks.
Single camera setup sitcoms
Outnumbered.
Freezing.
The Complete Guide to Parenting. (I think... Need to rewatch.)
Fear, Stress & Anger. (Ditto.)
Thanks for the reccomendations, I remember seeing an episode of 'Outumbered' and quite enjoyed it, again I saw an episode of 'Freezing' and hated it, and well 'Fear, Strees & Anger', the whole family setup, seems a little cliche (and also a little similar to 'Lead Balloon'), maybe the same with 'The Complete Guide...' though even 'Outnumbered' is that family setup, in any case it seems none of those are avaliable on DVD.
Ah, well DVD's not the only way to see things.
But yes, it's by far the easiest and most legal.
Everything's a bit clichéd if you look at it in the right way though. Yes, family situations have been done before, but then The Office wasn't exactly the first workplace sitcom.
I strongly, STRONGLY urge you to give Freezing another try. There are only three half-hour episodes, but they're absolutely bloody hilarious.
Well on your strong reccomendations I'll give it another go, I've seen it around online. You know anything aabout 'Fun at the Funeral Parlou'? (I've so many questions to ask but don't want to start a new thread each time.)
Feel free. New threads are great, and allow further questions again!
Afraid I don't really know much about it though, no. I'm sure that someone else will though!

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, I don't watch much TV and I'm looking for some funny shows and there are too many, and notably too few shown on TV, I mean seriously there are so few repeats on, just the same crap over and over again, mostly American too I might add.
Just going to bump this wasn't keen on 'Fun at the...' - I don't want anything wacky - I want the traditional sitcom sans laughter track and multiple cameras, all reccomendations greatly appreciated.

But that's what a traditional sitcom IS! I can't think of anything matching your criteria.
Maybe someone else can help. :-/
I realise what your saying Aaron - I think the best example to explain what I mean is 'The Smoking Room', single camera, no live-audience and set entirely in the same room, 'The Royle Family' is another example, 'Early Doors' too - I'm saying this is more traditional when compared to something like 'The Office'
Ahh, I see. Right... Hm.
