critics keep annoucning the 'death of sitcoms' we believe the genre is doing fine. give us your views on the current state of the situation comedy and tell us how you think it might develop.
someone please answer that for me. pleasepleaseplease just give me points for fore & against or just bullet points of the answer. im suppose to write a whole double page on this so give me all your know

Isn't the idea that YOU are supposed to answer your question? Or has the education system changed that much since I was at school?

Sitcom hasn't died, and it never will. It's going through a transition period at the moment, with more of the laid-back style family shows being made again, and being huge hits. (Almost every writer around here will want to kill themselves just thinking of such programmes, but heyho.)
Recently there have been shows such as The Office which pushed a different style of comedy to the mainstream, and now The Mighty Boosh, which is absolutely bonkers.
Ultimately, the old-fashioned type of sitcom (see My Family et. al) will always be around, but there's a broader range of styles emerging which will have an influence in how things are presented to the audience, and the variety of styles of sitcom which are produced.

I think the main point is it says YOUR VIEWS.
How can we answer it if we don't know what your views are?
