Quote: Jack Massey @ May 12 2009, 10:29 PM BSTOh well, fifteen days to go and Manchester United will be in another Champions League Final. I've not been able to concentrate at work all week trying to come up with my Manchester United line-up, but I have decided on what starting eleven I will come up with. With so many unsurities with the Barca team (Iniesta, Henry), I can't come up with a starting line up for them, but this is what I would go for if I was Alex Ferguson.
I would operate a 4-4-2 operation01. Edwin Van Der Sar
22. John O'Shea
05. Rio Ferdinand
15. Nemanja Vidic
03. Patrice Evra07. Cristiano Ronaldo
16. Michael Carrick
11. Ryan Giggs
13. Ji-Sung Park10. Wayne Rooney
32. Carlos TevezSubs:
12. Ben Foster21. Rafael Da Silva
23. Jonny Evans08. Anderson
17. Luis Nani
18. Paul Scholes09. Dimitar Berbatov.
Anyone agree/disagree with that?
I don't give a toss as long as Barcelona win.

The problem with Barca is they mainly only play sides who don't bother defending.
I'm so pleased that this thread is only as half as relevant as it was last year.
Come on Barcelona !
The finals on my Birthday, so I'm hoping that they'll make my day.
I'm more concerned about the F.A. Cup myself.
By the way, have you heard that Fergie wants another 5 years at United?

That's because he's frightened no-one else can replace him.
Even better chance of him doing a Jock Stein.
Dave you happy with Man U's result yesterday mate?
Not particularly - but that's all history now.

Had a change of idea since writing this, I think now it would be better to play a 4-3-3 operation as Barca will do the same, so this is how I think they should line up:
01. Edwin Van Der Sar
22. John O'Shea
05. Rio Ferdinand
15. Nemanja Vidic
03. Patrice Evra
08. Oliveira Anderson
16. Michael Carrick
11. Ryan Giggs
13. Ji-Sung Park
07. Cristiano Ronaldo
10. Wayne Rooney
Subs:
29. Tomas Kuszczak (Ben Foster is injured)
21. Rafael Da Silva
23. Jonny Evans
17. Luis Nani
18. Paul Scholes
09. Dimitar Berbatov
32. Carlos Tevez
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About the 70th minute, Anderson would have faded out (he's a great starter for me, but fades too quickly), so then is the time to replace him for Tevez, who is a great impact sub, then about the 80th minute, I'd replace Park for Berbatov. Very excited about tomorrow night, come on United.

Who really gives a toss?
I've got some ironing to do.
By the way, going back to the FA Cup Final, Setanta Sports are bringing Saint and Greavsie back on Saturday. Their show will be part of a whole day devoted to the final, starting from 9 in the morning.
