It would be interesting to know of any other sitcoms or shows that were made and were either never broadcast, or pulled after a few episodes. The only other one I can think of is Popetown.
Well, erm. Let's think what we have so far: Hardwicke House, Heil Honey, I'm Home, Shane series 2, Popetown (on DVD), High Stakes series 2 (now on DVD), and there are another seven episodes (again on DVD) which were never broadcast in the UK of Bromwell High. Nothing else is springing to mind, although I'm sure there are plenty of older shows which faced similar fates.
