GRAMS: LOTTERY SHOW INTRO MUSIC

PRESENTER:
(UP FOR IT) Welcome to the new lottery show – Pick One Ball! Yes! There’s just *one* ball to pick and all you have to do is pick it! Nothing else! Just pick this one, single ball! That’s right – a single, solitary number! The chances of winning are one-in-one! You literally *can’t* lose! (SHOUTS) Come on! (SERIOUS) Right, over to Alan for the draw.

F/X:A SINGLE BALL CLATTERING AROUND IN A PLASTIC DOME

ALAN:
(V/O) Right, this week we’ve used machine Engelbert Humperdinck and set of balls number seven-hundred and ninety-three. The number out is…. One!

GRAMS: LOTTERY MUSIC FOR WHEN LAST BALL COMES OUT

PRESENTER:
Right. If it’s you, and it is, well done! Now, over to Alan for the results.

ALAN:
This week, the prize fund had an amazing hundred million pounds in it. Preliminary indications are that everyone has won, each winning a total of approximately exactly what they put in. Back to you, Steve!

END

I like it. I'm not sure how but the ending should be a bit different. Still saying the same basic thing but worded a bit differently to make it a bit less heavy handed.

Oh, and I think it would be funnier with 'set of ball number....' instead of 'set of balls number...'

It's a good idea, probklem is it ends with a finish, but no real conclusion.

Have some thoughts onn how it could conclude, mind if I post them up|?

Yeah, no probs. Go for it.

Dan

The claims line is incredibly expensive springs to mind.

Or have some famous loser tearing their ticket up in frustration. Maybe Gordon Brown to be a bit political? Or maybe have some jammy get win a million still (Boris Johnson).

The idea being to set up a logical construct (every one wins the same), and then under cut.

Good skit though, and very Tilt.

There's hope for us all.

Hmm any BBC competition, or phone in can be made funny, by making the answer Socks the Cat.

I like the ticket-tearing idea. I may add that one as an 'extra' bonus joke! ;)

Cheers sooty.

Dan
