dumbFUNDED 2: Man vs. Woman Page 2

It's a good thing we don't take this writing malarky too seriously. Yes! You heard me, malarky.

Well you're right cos as the sage, Homer Simpson once said, and I'm paraphrasing here, 'don't 'expect anything, that way you won't be disappointed'.

It's all shite though because I expect a lot!

Haha likewise! I go about, telling everyone, that I won't pass exams, won't get into universities, won't get the jobs I want, etc and don't care about any of it. When in reality I'm dying a little inside at the mere thought of failing.

But THIS one time. I don't care.

PS they don't send an automatic email to let you know they've received it do they?

Well, I didn't get one.

And you've got to be in it, to win it. Or something.

Dan

Surely it means tonight, being the end of the week and by midnight usually means midnight of the date listed. It didn't say 00:00 23rd May - plus that would be too confusing.

Mine are less Man Vs Woman, and more... oh it's a man and a woman in the same room.

Ditto again, is man v woman competitiveness or am I missing the point?

Mine is also "a man and a woman in a room", but they did specifically say they would prefer sketches with some sort of twist on the theme. I just hope mine is seen as enough of a 'twist'.

I'm sure in the shallow sense, Man vs Woman is about the competition, the battle of the sexes, but for us more sophisticated writers there are many more subtle interpretations.

I'm glad I didn't risk putting them in late, by entering them last night, but god, I did ruin one of the sketches by not giving it a good enough ending. Another few hours to ponder over a decent one would have helped.

Great to have sophisticated writers around, hopefully shallow neanderthals like me can learn a bit.

No, no, no Nigel, you are like us!

Hmmm. Interested to see where this goes now. Anyone else submit to it?

Yes I submitted a couple of sketches so this is encouraging. That said I wouldn't be so arrogant to think that mine was among the best, oh no! :D

I submitted one sketch but I didn't hear anything at all back from them.

I suppose it might sneak in as a filler if their plans get a bit too big for them to handle.

I haven't heard anything personally. Has anyone had an email telling them they want their work?
