Thanks swertyd
They didn't accept my sketch, but sent me an Email about this so I guess all entrants get put on a mailing-list or summet.
Remember! The deadline for this is midnight Friday 23rd. Which I assume means the midnight between Thursday and Friday, rather than the midnight between Friday and Saturday.
Come on -- it's an opportunity and there aren't many of them around at the mo'.
Dan
I'll be entering this one. I wrote a sketch a while back that would be suitable, but I'll have to crank up the man vs woman angle of it.
Does anyone have an example script they could send me, as I'm having a little difficulty deciphering the dumbFUNDED style guide.
I usually write in screenplay format, so I'm a bit lost...
I'll ask the same as James, I've read the style guide a couple of times and I still think it could be interpreted a couple of different ways.
If I'm going to get rejected it had better be due to being unfunny dammit!
Bumping this as the deadline (as I read it) is midnight tonight (ie the next midnight following this post). So everyone get writing. Submit something -- it is an opportunity after all.
Dan
I have, at the very last minute (after seeing this thread about an hour ago) quickly written too sketches. They are awful, but as Dan/Swerytd says, it's an opportunity, so we might as well.
Oh well, too late now to worry.
Well, mine is a nonsensical idea with poor execution with three hours left. I am also motivationless at the moment, so it doesn't bode too well...

Surely they mean the evening of the 23rd? Why would you construe it as a Thursday evening?
Is this some sort of scheme you've cooked up to make your competitors send in their sketches half cocked?
It is confusing though... At first I presumed it meant, Friday evening. But Then it could also be interpreted as midnight means thursday. It's like, is the Ace in a pack of cards the first or last card?! Oh the sleepless nights I've spent over that one...
Mine are less Man Vs Woman, and more... oh it's a man and a woman in the same room.

Well, that's what I thought originally. *Then* I thought, when people say midnight of whatever day, they usually seem to mean the first second of the day.
Anyway, doing it this way around means I don't miss it and am definitely not 24 hours late!
Besides, I only just read the rules having completed my sketch and realised you can enter up to three sketches! So, the quickest adaptation ever has just been completed and submitted...
BTW my sketches are all quarter-cocked, so you're winning if yours are only half-cocked...
Dan
Ditto! I entered to, and decided to go for a third, so quickly thought some rubbish idea up, and about to enter it now. I have no hope whatsoever, but it's nice to know my brain can work fast when it needs to.
PS they don't send an automatic email to let you know they've received it do they?

As is mine. Never mind.
