Thanks for all the replies and PM's. I'm away for a few days next week so keep letting me know here (or PM) and I'll see where we are at on my return. Great response so far.
Also, support Chappers Radio sketch show as that sounds logistically simpler (ie no locations/props etc)
OK, so the response has been very good from you guys. Plenty of interested people, enough to keep this going.
We've got people for all roles although I'd like to know if there are any experienced performers interested. We have a few people who want to try it which is fine, but it would be good to have some people that have clips etc to their name, or who do amateur drama etc.
Just so we can have an array of performers.
Cheers!
Well I guess I'm a comedy writer and performer, I've just spent two years scaring people in the chamber of horrors at a 'well known' wax museum (they get so WEIRD if you mention their name....), so I know how to perform, have done films and voiceovers too. I would really like to be involved as a performer but also as a writer, as that is my main passion :-)
Apart from many years ago at school where I appeared in, or was chief lighting crew member for, some quite successful productions I have been known to occasionally act the fool.
Probably not what you mean?
I know an actor/friend who may be interested, not too sure where in the country he is at the moment but can track him down if we need to.
If it's possible, I wouldn't mind being a performer too. Whether or not I'm any good? *shrugs*
Interesting, am interested.
Hi
Thanks Tim for directing me here! I am very keen to get involved with this. Some of you may recognise me as I posted here a while back asking for sketches. Some of which I still have not got to read! They were all fantastic and I am at some point not too far from this one going to get through them and get back to you all.
I am still super keen to perform in some sketches and bounce ideas around. I have access to crew , possibly equipment (negotiations with my contacts needed on that) and great actors.
Here is an example of one I filmed a couple of years ago now on no budget

Thats me in it of course... :-)
anyway thats me for now.....
lets get something together people!
I think that sketch has legs Joanna!
I'd be interested in contributing some material towards this.
Brilliant, well I think we have a great start to this project, so I reckon we should try and get some sketches together. I don't know how many sketches we will be able to record in a day, but we'll try and do as many as possible. Therefore I'll try and create a shortlist out of the scripts that are sent in.
As this is the first one, I'll leave it completely open in terms of sketch time, theme etc. Just remember we are very limited in sets/locations/props etc and that is more likely to be a deciding factor in the shortlist.
you can email me with your sketches at: funnierthandeath@googlemail.com
As you can imagine, there quite a few ppl sending stuff in so I thank you in advance.
I propose in future shows we have different 'producers' as we all have different comedy tastes and it would be fairer on everyone.
All the best!
ps i am a freelance producer as well as actress - should have mentioned that
ContainsNuts - why is our filming limited to only one day?
It doesn't have to be, email me to discuss as I'm interested in what you can bring to this. Then we can sort out a better schedule. Cheers!
Lets put a deadline to this as a few people are asking when to send stuff in by.
