Which one to chose?

Hi, I would appreciate your veiw on which version of this clip of my stand-up routine you prefer (i may turn it into a sketch aswell), I'm stuck between the choice of two words HELP

'Fathers and daughters have a relationship like no other, as a father you get questions like "daddy do you think I'm attractive to boys?" "err...honey this is a vibrator, this is your new best friend, but don't use this one this one is your mums best friend" "but daddy I though that the woman with the big boobies and long legs was mummies best friend" "no honeythat's my BEST friend"'
in the line
"no honeythat's my best friend"
i was wondering if the word best could be changed for imaginary, becoming
"no honeythat's my imaginary friend",
i'm thinking of turning this into a sketch somehow so I would appreciate your veiw plus feel free to advise me of better words or other improvments.
Thanks a lot

I'm not sure I quite get it pal the dads telling the kid to use a vibrator? if it were my daughter I wouldnt and I'm a terrbile parent lol.
The thought of anything entering her fills me with a rage so intense I need to punch the nearest "thing". I dunno pal. Imaginary I suppose is better

that helps gavin, i also have a little neice who is a young girl and anything even sexual around her fills me with rage the girl is a 17 yr old in this part i explain this before the part above, (it's based on a girl charachter that often pops up in my stand up and a fictional chat she has with her father,)
(the girl is a chavvy type girl and her family are a bit rough)
hope that explains more, this part got a good laugh when i performed it three days ago) thanks.

"no honey that would be my IDEAL best friend"

Does that work any better?

that does work, thanks Martin i'll give your suggestion a spin
cheers mate

No problem, good luck with it. Wish I had the balls to do stand up.

It would work best if you say 'No, Honey, she's DADDY'S best friend.' Collecting on the set-up of 'Mummy's best friend'. The assumption being your daughter wouldn't be able to see your imaginary friend. But I have to say the subject matter could be a turn-offfor many an audience.

thanks charlie, i put this into a show and it was succesful, but now i think i will scrap it, as i have this problem with performing the same material over two times,
thanks charlie, Martin and gavin

You could a completely different and melancholy spin on it.

"No honey, that's Uncle Simon's best friend"

i like, i'll just explain more before this part i have a little bit of explaining about bad fathering, in the topic where i compare the cliche of woman and men, thats just so it makes more sense
thanks buamski i like that suggestion

Ah now you see it kinda makes more sense now lol...feel a bit of a jackass now lol

no don't worry i should have explained it more (i feel like a jackass) (News just in: apparently i look like a jackass)
