Isn't it weird watching your own stuff . . . Page 2

I agree more with Pripyat. I just cringe hearing my stuff being done for some reason, hoping it goes down well (which it has done so far!)

Later on it's a nice feeling, so well done again!

The ultimate irony would be it all gets cut, and I don't see a penny.

I think Perry Nium once said that he submitted sketches to a pilot that never got made and he still got paid, so you should be ok. Unless it says otherwise in your contract.

How long did it take to film each sketch?

Were the actors good?

I have to agree, it is weird and uncomfortable seeing your own stuff performed. I've had stuff on the radio that I've still not listened to. And table readings are a cringe inducing nightmare.

That said, is it just me, or is every one of Seefacts posts these days merely a self-congratulatory gloat-fest couched as a question? :D

They filmed about 6 or 7 live - the set was essentially a theatre set, dressed with a few props, to give it a minimal look - so in between each sketch they'd quickly re-dress the set as the warm up man died on his arse, or they'd bring out a big screen to show 1 of the 4 VT packages. the show was probably 75% VT, so lots will get cut.

Each sketch was done straight off, with barely any re-takes. The actors had obviously done a LOT of rehearsal. So each one took a few minutes. The putting on the set of the props took longer than the sketch itself probably.

I was in there for about 1.5 hours I'd say.

Sorry! I wanted it to explain the process of filming etc, but as I was in a hurry it just came out as a load of me spunking off.

So I'll go into it a bit more!

It was a very simple set up - three cameras, all very minimal. The pre-records were a bit more elaborate - but only just.

They were apparently quite rough, but there was a title sequence of sorts - though who knows whether that'll change.

There were no credits at the end or anything, nor did any of the writers get a mention at the end. So I looked a tit when I stood up and went 'I AM A WRITER!!'.

That didn't happen.

Then I got into a dodgy mini cab and went back to my hotel, then had an ace day noseying about London the next morning.

Bit harsh. It would be a pity if people became too shy of discussing these sorts of experiences because of a fear of seeming immodest.

I suspect that any of us who are experiencing even a modest degree of success wouldn't dare to gloat. Pride cometh before a fall etc...

I might start a blog soon to document anything, so people can chose - choose NOT to - read about how it all works.

You removed your site design Seefacts, I quite liked it before. I suppose everything has to go digital soon enough.

Yeah, lots of fun to make, but a horrible to look at.

I'm planning to launch my own personal site soon.

Me too, dunno what to fill it with though? I like my current smiley face, he eats your soul if you stare longer than 5 seconds.

I'll fill it with a blog for now I think.

As we're the same person, you'll do the same.

Ah yes.

You do Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and I'll do Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We'll go for a pint on Sunday.

Isn't that a Craig David song?

Yes, but Graig David is a cock. We will do it in style Cool

Ohh :(
I loved the way your site looked, seefacts.

Yeah, it WAS ace.

But a bit pointless and unglamorous.
