Sandwich Of The Day Page 6

Again subway bread is full of chemicals and tastes like ass.

a) Which Subway bread have you been choosing? :-/
b) How do you know what ass tastes like?

N.b. I don't care which sitcom actors like Subway.

Eh you whaaa? What do actors have to do with Subway?!

Used to work near a Portugese deli, where they roasted the beef fresh each day. It was nice and rare, and you could still taste the blood.

You work near a subway, you poor man. Office workers, chavs, and kids bunking off school, it must be so noisy.

Could be worse could live near a KFC.

On that subject anyone tried it's new rival TFC?

Posh sandwich places always seem to use rock-hard crusty f**king bread. Hate it.

That really is annoying... really nice fillings, but a stupidly crusty bread... ruins it for me...

Sick
Yeah, like I said. I'll stick with Subway.

Ok I'm a cannibal serial killer, does that lessen my appreciation of sandwiches. real bread takes 1-2 days to make. Subways franken-bread is done in under an hour. I've tried 'em all different varieties of ass, is still ass.

Some one mentioned Mick Frost likes subway.

The smell probably makes you sick if you get it all day. Understandable.

I love that smell. It makes me hungry.

Give me Subway any day.

Indeed! Crusty stuff is no fun. (Although I do get my Subway toasted - but it's only lightly crunchy.)

New? Where do you live? TFC have been around for years.

P.S. I work near numerous Subways, and a KFC. w00t!

That super crusty bread is jsut showing off. Rye bread, or proper bagel is the best route. But proper bagels are only made at 5 bakeries I know of, and they're all in London.

Thing with bagels is you've got to boil the dough first. Any thing else is just shit.

Ah, ok then.

Right, here is today's sandwich - chicken, bacon and sweetcorn.

Image

It was very pleasant, nicely seasoned with just the right amount of mayonnaise. The bacon was crispy and crumbled onto the chicken/mayo combination giving a pleasing texture.

7/10

As in the actual US chain, nah it's only been in this country for 6 months or so. The superior product in my view, especially the extra spicy flavour.

You haven't lived until you've had two fried eggs, two rashers of bacon, slices of sausage, and HP sauce in a lightly toasted muffin. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I do rather like nice thick baton-esque bread like that. I also love that weird bread that comes with kind of, layers on top. Bits. Kind of like waves. And the spiky ones, which are similar. Hedgehog bread, innit? :D

Oh my god Graham, it's turning into a pornography thread. Although that photo is the Reader's wives of the sandwich world. Sounds bloody good though.

Shall take my own photo later on, lol.

I want a sandwich now... Bugger.

I loooooooooooove the smell of Subway.

Isn't that pretty much an Egg McMuffin? ;)

I love fried egg sandwiches dripping with tomato sauce.

That's the ticket! Ain't we classy!
