Brain Sketch

Haven't put pen to paper and written a sketch for a while, and I all of a sudden feel creative, so...

SCENE. INT. LARGE MEETING ROOM (INSIDE THE BRAIN) . DAY

Shot of a man falling into the sea and sinking to the bottom, he is struggling for breath.

There are various people set around a table, each have something written on a white T-shirt describing their function in the human body.

EYES:
We’ve fallen in the water!

EARS:
What?

LUNG:
Shit, I’ll see what I can do, but don’t hold your breath.

ARSE:
Great we’re going to f**king die! Arms! Can you swim you stupid twat!

ARMS:
You’re such an Arse sometimes; I’ll give it ago.

CUT TO: man in the water flapping his arms in the water like a bird.

CUT TO: The meeting room.

ARMS:
No, not working.

PENIS:
Can I help! Come on!

TESTICALS:
No… we’re pretty useless as usual; they only want us for one thing, come on.

PENIS and TESTICALS leave the table.

HEART:
Oh god! I can’t keep up here! Ah!

ARSE:
That’s it I’m just going to go relax, I don’t even care anymore we’re dead.

ARSE leaves the room, taking a paper under his arm with him.

The lights in the meeting room flicker.

CUT TO: The MAN being dragged back onto the boat and coughing up water.

MAN:
I was almost a goner there!

MAN#2:
Ah! You shit yourself, what’s your problem?

END.

It's not a hugely original idea, and certainly was done better in Every thing you wanted to know about sex, not to mention a whole sitcom Hermans Head.

And building up to a punchline that's just a bit nasty, rather than funny.

Personally the idea of the arsehole doing that at inoportune moments is funnier, at least to me.

Lol, good idea and a somewhat nice ending. I think you could go over it again and get more jokes out of it though. But I do like the idea, something you might see in a Family Guy cut away (which I'm sick of saying now because they're so fricking random, aaanyway)

Good Paul.

Yeah, I haven't seen too many referances to this sketch being used, but I know it's been done a few times.

Meh, I can re-write it, I only put it together about 20 minutes ago anyway :D

Thanks guys.

Again, I liked the idea! :)
