Job Application Sketch

This is an idea I've just had. I'm a little bit bored so this probably will be rubbish. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

MAN (TOMMY) IS BEING INTERVIEWED FOR A JOB.

Interviewer
So, I've looked at your CV and it's rather interesting.

Tommy
It is?

Interviewer
Of course it is. It says here that you have been done for GBH, manslaughter, theft and kidnapping!

Tommy
Ah right, I forgot to mention that. So I take it I didn't get the job?

Interviewer
Didn't get the job? You were clearly the best candidate for the job, here's your uniform and appropriate equipment.

(HANDS OVER A CROW BAR AND A BLACK AND WHITE STRIPED JUMPER, CAMERA CUTS OUT TO REVEAL A BUILDING THAT SAYS, 'THIEVING BASTARDS LTD')

Interviewer
I think you'll fit in perfectly here. I'll leave you with dickhead Dave, he'll show you the ropes.

Tommy
Yeah, thanks. (SMILES AS INTERVIEWER GETS UP AND LEAVES THE ROOM)

He could be handed a black gown and wig, the sign could say 'Blag, Swag and Lag Solicitors,' as a different slant Paul.

The striped jersey/thieving bastard sign seemed a bit obvious to me.

Yea that's a good idea Nigel, also we should only see the sign as he leaves right at the end

What spoilt it for me was the line

"Tommy
Ah right, I forgot to mention that. So I take it I didn't get the job?"

which suggests he had little or no idea of the job description or criteria for the role for which he was applying. So to then give his previous dalliances with the law such high relevance to the role seems a bit weird to me.

If you get my drift. Probably not.

Interviewer
Of course it is. It says here that you have been done for GBH, manslaughter, theft and kidnapping!

Tommy
Ah right, I forgot to mention that. So I take it I didn't get the job?

Summat wrong with the dialogue there!
