It Ain't Half Hot Mum Page 9

Being rerun on That's TV early evening. Watched an ep for first time in nearly 50 years and was surprised at just how daft the thing was, with a sort of simple Terry & June type plot. A few too many in the cast for my own preference but Windsor Davies was in great form.

Have no idea if anything's been cut but just the obvious colonial rule over native subordinates was something you don't see in modern sitcoms so I expect it won't be long before some journo whinges in the Guardian.

It sounds like you're desperate for that to happen so you can have a "you can't say anything now!" rant, Alfred.

From what I've seen of it it was quite a poor sitcom, and it hasn't aged well.

I think it still stands up well as a sitcom

It's still funny. probably even more so because of the snowflakes complaining about it.

Who's complaining about it? I think most of the snowflakes now are getting in s splother about bud light or rainbow flags.

Melvyn Hayes in Would I Lie To You? and then George Layton in the Madame Blanc Mysteries.

I recognised George but couldn't work out who it was until I googled the cast.
