Would you include mockumentaries... if so Number 1 has to be This is Spinal Tap...

I thought 'Spinal Tap was OK. Had some good jokes in, but I wasn't rolling about on the floor laughing. Whilst I'll admit it was a pioneering film for that genre, it's not that classic in my books.

Wow I had completely forgotten about those Loaded Weapon movies.
The Wayans bros (who did Scary Movie) did make some pretty funny spoofs like "Don't be a Menace to Society while Drinking your Juice in the Hood" and "I'm Gonna Get you Sucka" although neither can say they stand the test of time like most of the films you mentioned.
Probably my favorite Mel Brooks spoof is "Spaceballs". I've seen it to many times to count.
Blazing Saddles is also pure gold.
Austin Powers is considered a spoof too and I loved those flicks.
I was actually really disappointed with Spaceballs, I love John Candy but this film did nothing for me, maybe because I'm not a Star Wars fan, I dunno?
I've seen the early Waynes Brothers movies, they were OK, but yeah, nothing special.
Austin Powers is a good suggestion, I never think of that as the same, but I suppose it is.
Haven't got around to watching Blazing Saddles yet, I'm a fool yes. Although I'm sure I saw it as a kid?

Police Academy? You're probably aware of them, though.
Yep.
