Why do you like comedy so much? Page 2

I like comedy so much because i love to laugh. It makes me feel good & can make everything that is mundane seem reasonable & if it is done cleverly, (Bill Hicks) it can really make you think.

Ill echo Red Dwarf as one of the first comedies I avidly HAD to watch. Ive no idea why I like comedy so much, other than because its funny, which is a bit obvious. I did try to write serious film scripts to start with. They were quite, quite poor.

Oh, and your 20 Aaron?? No offence, but from that picture I thought you were in your late twenties. And a murderer.

I remember pogs being far too expensive.

There was an actual pog shop near where I live, and a friend of mine's cousin co-owned it, if I remember rightly - super cheap discount pogs!

One of my mates had thousands. He got bored one day and stuck them all to his bedroom ceiling. They're still there.

LOL.

I remember creating my own comic with this kind of stupid shaven headed character, and two rabbits who didn't get on. Genius there.

Lol, I had a stupid bald headed character called Spoon or something?

I guess I just don't like being serious.

Nah Thats chappers.

I'm 19, and too enjoyed watching red dwarf, jesus did all BBC2 do during the 90's was repeat Red Dwarf?

And as Lee and others I used to draw cartoons and little comic strips. So I'm guessing all writers do the same thing then and then come to this forum :S

That's the photo fit they showed on crimewatch. After that episode, they got 28 calls saying he had been spotted in London in a west end show....

Nah Paul. I cant draw shit. Seriously not even a brown splodge.

Ahh, interesting.

I'm the least serious person ever. Well, the only thing I'm serious about (irony fans) is comedy. I take nothing seriously and my first thought is 'what gag can I come out with here'.

I think comedy has leant to that attitude and carried it on. Maybe that's why I'm not a big drama or film fan. I'm too serious.

I'm going to live my life like Tom Hanks in 'Big'.

I doodle random pics and when I write lists, I have been known to draw pics of what I want rather than write it down!
