Okay, not exactly a sitcom or in any sitcom episode:

I have the album, hehe.

It is an amazing album.

My favourite sketch of all time is Morcombe and Wise's Breakfast Sketch. Another great sketch that is musical is The Two Ronnies sketch titled The St. Botolph's Country Dance Team.

Anything by Mulligan & O'Hare, Tinker's Rucksack or The Man With The Stick ('This year's works holiday was 2 weeks away in Greece, it was all arranged by Terry who got flights cheeeeeaaap....').

Yay!!!!!

That song (that I can't remember the name of) done by Todd Rivers in Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

So we can list songs from non-sitcom shows as well. If so, this is my favourite. I didn't think it was possible to fit as many rhymes for one word into one song-

Although this one is pretty good as well-

Oh, and my favourite improvised song (and one of the finest moments on this paticulair show)-

Ah, now if we're going for Not The Nine O'Clock News...

Why has this thread been moved? First you move my Apprentice thread, which I can just about understand the spurious reasoning behind, now you move this one. At the very least it should have gone to the Other British comedy section, not General Discussion (or, as I tend to think of it, The Place Where People With Serious Head Injuries Come To Discuss Their Favourite Crisps And Charley's Legendary Slack Vagina). Angry

Because it's come to cover not only British shows but American ones too.

Sheesh, Slattery looks so young there, he looks about 90 now.
They do so well, I'd hate to be under that much pressure to think of something funny as well as something tuneful on the spot.

Who's the blonde one that sounds like Kate Bush?
I love Kate Bush her voice is sex in the form of soundwaves!

Although I'm quite happy to give Ricky Gervais a kicking on these forums, I think the David Bowie song in Series 2 of Extras was very funny, and I'd imagine the moment that made him happiest out of everything he's done.

I also like the Bing Bag song sung by Dave Spikey in the second series of Phoenix Nights.

Special mention must also go to the many funny musical moments in The Simpsons, including the Planet Of The Apes Musical and the mighty Monorail song.

(Also, it's still a travesty that this threads been moved).

The American version of The Office can be pretty bad at times. It's like they're trying too hard. Also, the Americans have made far too many episodes, and seem to be running out of ideas.

False.

Has to be this song from the Sarah Silverman Programme. There are loads to choose from but this one is self contained (don't need to know the plot to understand it)

Also 'Singing in the Rain' where Ernie stays dry. Brilliant!

The IT Crowd - Gay a Gay Musical. "Hold my haaaand, No! That's not my hand!" xD
