Actually, I should clarify - the thread is inspired by Aaron, not the place listed above.

Nah sorry, Thing wins easy!
''Bell End'', just off the M5 (A491).
In my travelling days I spent ages waiting for it to get dark so I could get my tools out and nick the sign - never quite had the bottle.
Mind you, I have got ''Do not bang balls against the wall'' hanging in my bathroom, courtesy of the local Council.
(Sorry Curt ''Bell End'' is a bit of a British joke)
I live just outside a village called "Thong"
well in my second year at uni we produced a documentary called: 'From Beginning to Bell End' in which we travelled around England for 4 days, 798.6 miles to find the rudest named places....it was an awesome road trip and hilarious!
Here is a list of the places we visited:
Cow Roast
Bummers Hill
Ugley
Bacon End
Dancing Dicks
Turkey Cock Lane
Fingringhoe
Pratts Bottom
Fulking
Cuckoos Knob
Clench
Ginge
Druggers End
Drinkers End
Minge Lane
Bell End
We had to miss out places like twatt and brown willy coz we only had 4 days to do it in! I also have pics of all of the places...i would show you guys the doc but we aint put it on the net yet coz its too big
x
Still got to go with Burpham Merrow. Just totally excellent in every way!
And on the subject of signs, I saw the following at the start of a dual carriageway today: "No racing of horse drawn vehicles". Now, given the history and age of the area, my reckoning is that there was a medieval horse fayre of some sort once, and the traveller types still turn up regularly to this day. ANYWAY.
Used to drive thru Pratts Bottom to get to work many years ago.
West Ugly Munterslags (near Hounslow) is a corker.
I think there's a street near us somewhere called Rampant Horse Lane! and when we went to York we saw Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma Gate! xD

Is that for real? If so, do you think that's where the word "Munter" comes from, to describe someone ugly?
That one can't be real! You big fat liar.
Google's coming up with nothing, so I'm guessing it's a lie.
Wish it was real though.
I used to live near a place in Gloucestershire called Birdlip - which always amused me because its postal address would be "Birdlip, Glos".
And here's a nice property for sale - not sure about the street name though. http://www.propertyfinder.com/cgi-bin/rsearch?a=o&id=502874069
I once saw a place called 'Pete Smith is a c**t!'.
and I don't even know who Pete Smith is.
