Sorry to be the voice of dissent, but I think it's weak. The joke is that some lines in songs sound a bit like the singer is saying something else, but I've seen that done many-a-time.
Peter Kay did it back in the mid 90s as part of his stand up (he used a tape recorder to play little snippets). Even Chris Evans did it on his radio show - for example an old BabyFace song where it sounds like he sings 'every time I see your face I piss myself...'
I couldn't see this getting anything more than a groan in a stand-up routine. Also, in at least two of the songs, the singer sings 'you' fine, without a hint of it sounding like Hugh.
