Eh? It's right here near the top of the forum. Didn't you look at all?
Ha ha! Look - even the cast think it's shit! What hope have the bloody audience got.

Oops. Sorry , I add reviews and stuff to the new topic in the future.
"My Family star Robert Lyndsay has admitted that 90 per cent of his long-running sitcom isn't that good.
As the much-derided comedy reaches its 100th episode, the actor provided fuel to its critics by saying: 'There is some real dross in there and we are aware of it. Out of 100 episodes maybe we've done ten that you can say are really good shows.'
He and co-star Zoe Wanamaker once refused to record an episode, complaining the script was too bad.
And in today's interview in The Times he admitted that sometimes they have ditched lines supplied by the huge team of writers and resorted to slapstick in a bid to get a laugh. 'There was one episode where we didn't like the dialogue so we just had a fight in bed,' he said.
Wanamaker also admitted that the scripts were often left wanting. She said: 'I don't want to sound pretentious, but for an actor it is a challenge. You sometimes have to use all of your talent to make something that sticks in your craw sound OK.'
However, despite their serious reservations about their own work, the actors say it's pure 'snobbery' that the show gets such bad reviews.
Lyndsay admits he no longer reads reviews because: 'You know they are going to be nasty', while Wanamaker said: 'It's just snobbery. The public own it now and the press can't bear it.'
The 100th episode of My Family is on BBC One on Thursday – although the show is still lagging some way behind the record-holder Last Of The Summer Wine, which has 280 episodes and sill going strong."
You know what, if that was my show and the cast were slagging it off, I'd fire the f**kers.

Its an amazing interview, so candid. Worth reading in full (it can be found on The Times). I can't believe they have voiced their opinions so publically, specially at a time when, love it or loath it, surely the focus should be on My Family reaching such a rare milestone in British sitcom history.
Production on the next series is going to be frosty at best! The writers can't be feeling that motivated right now that's for sure.

It really makes the pair look bad though; they may as well wear t-shirts with 'We're Doing It For The Money' emblazzoned across the front!

I can understand that some people would feel like that but personally I admire them for it. Let's face it, nearly every actor does some work for the money and it is far more interesting to hear their honest views rather than the usual guff we get in interviews. Norman Lovett is the only other person in recent memory who I can think has been as brutally honest about a sitcom.
Obviously, they're doing it for the money. The BBC recognises that if one them left, it would be the end. If I was playing Ben, I would undoubtedly enjoy exercising comedic talent on only mildly amusing material, and would be happy to be paid handsomely for the trouble.
I think they know everyone realises My Family is no Only Fools and Horses, so why lie and say it's great? Daniella Denby-Ashe recently said on This Morning that "it isn't for everyone", and now Lindsay and Wannamaker have gladly gone a few steps further and labelled it "dross"; but if the BBC were concerned with making it funny, they would get rid of that dreaded Alfie, pour some character into Michael and make Janey less slutty, narsistic and two-dimentional.

Ha, it's a good interview though.
Imagine a world where a sitcom can have 16 good episodes. If only that were possible . . .

Yes. Prezunctly.
16 episodes for series 10? Surely that's 7 for ten and 9 for eleven.
I'm not convinced all the writers believe in the show either.

I think they mean 8 episodes for both series.
Just seen the 100th episode. Abolsoulley awful! Such a shame. I don't know why Susan wasn't in the same room throughout; John Barrowman is always a pillock, while the brilliant Robert Lindsay and David Haig had to put up with weak material. A bit of a trial to watch.
