Attention Sketch Project Writers..... Page 3

Yeh I know, it's a slow process, I more disheartened about writing for Tilt today. A lot of effort, for probably no result. It's so far off my natural style, but what can one do?

Probably if I found £10,000 in the street, I'd hire the Canal Cafe Theatre for a year, and just glower at the audience,

"Laugh damn you, laugh!"

Hi All,

Believe it or not None of the submissions sucked!! ;-) They all had merits!

We are after a very specific vein of comedy that ties in with our own writing style for this project and we needed to look at writers natural styles as the fastest way to assess this. This doesn't mean that some of the submitted (rejected) sketches couldn't be used on other shows, they can. It's just that this show has a very specific style.
Don't feel downhearted as Winterlight is right it may not be that your work get's used this time but it may next. The quality is certainly there!

Cheers for now and I'll keep you posted,

Guy

Hey guys, i got a rejection too but at least an opportunity did not pass us by.

At least we can concentrate on the league now we ve been knocked out of the FA cup.

Yeah, another rejection but at least:
a) I *got* a rejection and
b) it was extremely polite, as rejections go...

:)

Dan

I got rejected too, but atleast he was nice about it. :)

Guy didnt like me either. Still thats a good thing. Leaves me free for when the big wigs come a knockin. :)

I got my rejection. A small light just went out inside of me.

Oh God, does he email them out or what?
I feel like I'm on a cancer ward waiting for the news.

I got a rejection too - but maybe I sent the wrong things.

E mail and ask James, you could be the one.

No, I have just received my rejection. I suppose "W" takes longer to get to.

I hate you Guy Press, if that is your name. You're a c**t.

Laughing out loud

Erm James I'd recommend editing that last thought, yo never know when your paths will cross again....

Unless you are Guy Press?

Hi All,

Believe it or not None of the submissions sucked!! But they did blow! ;-) They all had merits! (Some were even in English!)

We are after a very specific vein of comedy (i.e. humour) that ties in with our own writing style (things that make people laugh) for this project and we needed to look at writers natural styles (i.e. if you were funny or not) as the fastest way to assess this. This doesn't mean that some of the submitted (rejected) sketches couldn't be used on other shows, they can (you could all write for Two Pints!). It's just that this show has a very specific style (it has to be funny!).

Cheers for now and I'll keep you posted,

Guy

Oh well.
At least I don't put apostrophes into plurals. *Looks up definition of Phyrric victory*
I hate you Guy, even if you do sound like a publisher. I will hunt you down.

I'm just joking Sooty!!

Good luck with it Guy, sorry I didn't get anything sent to you. I had some ideas but didn't get the time to write them up. I hope you'll put a link to the finished article on here. :)

To be sincere, as it seems many may misconstrue my obviously ironic comments, it looks like a very interesting project and I bet it'll be really good.

Probably if I found £10,000 in the street...

I won £10k on the Deal or No Deal phone-in (entered online). Somehow I spent it all moving to somewhere I never wanted to be. Now I'm back on the credit-card. Cornwall eats money like Prescott eats trifles. And I'm left with a similar mess at the end of it all.
