Attention Sketch Project Writers.....

Hi Sketch Project Writers +,

I'm a Producer,Director and writer who has returned to college (The NFTS ) to boost my companies profile outside with contacts and build a stronger skillset as well as an MA.
For my final Grad project I'm producing, directing and partly writing a very innovative form of new Sketch Show(With Budget!). Approx 25 mins length.
I'm putting together a writing Team of 4-6 members and believe that some of your writers may be interested in working with me on this project. We are working from the idea, that now that there are no bars in TV programming. eg The crasser and stupider the idea the better, as long as it gets ratings. ie Trash TV.
My humour comes from a dark League of Gentlemen, Alan Partridge, fast show, Young ones, Spitting Image, Not the nine o'clock news background. Visual comedy is also something I want to highlight.
Sketches are looking to be no longer than 1:30 - 2mins . Although a couple of skits may be allowed to go to a 5 minutes max.
I'm looking to shoot in August / September for 2 weeks so I'm assembling a Team now, for writing and eventually workshops with performers. The production should be finished by the end of the year as on-lining is being booked in shortly!!
So would BSG Sketch Project writers be interested in working on this production as well? It maybe that both projects can hopefully flourish from a crossover of ideas and skills.

Just E-mail that your interested first then I'll mail you some sketch themes which you can expand further. ;-)

What are you doing about performers? Is there a chance for writers to appear as well? Also, where will it likely be shot?

Performers will be cast according to the sketches. There maybe some name involvement depending on casting requirements and sketches will be shot according to there location criteria. Writer performers will be allowed if they are the best cast. However if this is the case they will not direct the pieces they are in for obvious reasons. Hope this answers a few questions! ;-)

Having seen sections from the sitcom pilot filmed by Guy's company a couple of years ago, this looks like an impressive opportunity here. Thanks for posting about it Guy.

As our own sketch project is still 'on hold' (it'll be getting going in the summer when the new site is launched), this could be a great chance for some of the writers on here to get their sketches on camera. Just don't flood Guy with stuff!
