Just listened to the show. Really enjoyed it! Clangers were a hoot - wonder what scurrilous stuff they could have been saying 
Fantastic professional (in a non University Challenge way ) show - obviously it was the BSG contributors what made it!

Play & Record took *forever* to pay. I mean a *long* time (around five or six months I think it was). They'll get there in the end, but just so you know.

Did anyone manage to record/save/download last week's edition of Tilt (ie episode 6)?
I went to 'listen again' today (thursday) but it's been replaced by today's listings (that is, it already has today's shows to listen again to that haven't even been aired yet).
If someone does have it would they be so kind as to email me a mp3 or something of it? Please PM me for my email address - though I may not respond straight away as I'm away for a few days. Thanks guys.
btw with regards to payment, when I used to work freelance (not in comedy) it wasn't unusual to sometimes wait 6 months for payment - and especially from the larger companies.
Not being nasty to anyone on here but I did lose interest. I only listened to the first two and couldn't be bothered anymore.
I have to say David, it got a lot better after the first two. I think those two were very experimental, with reoccurring characters that didn't hold out too well. After that it was all individual sketches that were mostly very good in my opinion. I can see it getting recommissioned for a better slot.

Got to agree with 'Nuts here, Dave. The first two they were still trying things out (which Victoria has admitted) and it really found it's stride after that. It's true about the recurring characters: dropping them was for the best I think. It certainly brought up the pace of the show.

I rely purely on what I've seen and heard in the past and enjoyed and/or what makes me think - as a listener and viewer who chances upon programmes and been hooked in without being analytical. And in my analytical way I'm trying to preserve this spontananeity even though I've come of late to writing comedy . Every Tilt episode had at least some sketches that made me laugh out loud. I think they found their format by the last episode which I thought was very strong (I'm being analytical again aren't I? Sorry ... ).
I wasn't a fan, I always turned on half an hour earlier and listened to the million pund radio show. Tilt always felt a bit tepid after that.
Don't get me wrong it's as good as anything else out there, and considerbaly better than Scallywagga, and what ever those 3 awful shows on ITV2 were (who knew you could spread shit so thin). Which is pretty imrpessive for a new talent show.
But some how with all these digital channels, and other platforms alot of comedy feels abit off it's meds. Heads has a dismal 50% hit rate, with a lot of it clearly joyless filler.
Watching Hale and Pace, it's amazing what a lively full of beans show that was. Same with TV Burp.
It some how felt watching stuff from 10-20 years ago you could picture the writers, having a laugh puting it together down the pub.

Got home this evening to find my contract had arrived... haven't had time to read it through yet, but we've worked out that at £33 per minute, I'm due about £8.80... 
I'd better ring HMRC in the morning....

EDIT: Just checked my P&R contract and that rounded it up to 2 mins. The Tilt one specifically says 52 secs.

"Tilt on BBC7 was directly inspired by Weekending and I hope that it will have a similar effect on the comedy landscape of the future."
Which is nice.
