Next you'll be saying we should watch more of the two ronnies_

Correct! :)

Hey Mate,
I don't think it's my type of comedy but just thought I'd throw an idea at you.

I think the airplane and Police squad worked because it works around the idea that the people that is at the centre of it being a bit dumb but within an important role 'frank' as a police captain, etc, etc

I think one area that might lend itself well to this idea is politics (yet another area I doesnt really interest me) but I think you can always get away with the main person being abit dumb. Look at Scary Movie 4 when they use the President and I think that works so well. However you will have to be careful you dont fall into the 'Yes Minister' ideas.

Good luck with that mate, wish you all the best

Cheers Lee 2 ;)

Yeah, I actually had an similar idea but it was considered too complicated. Anyway we have an idea now and it seems to be going quit well.

Thanks.

I'm more interested in the enjoyment I get from writing jokes, if I can cram a script full of jokes, have strong characters and still keep it interesting then why would that be a negative thing?

Why stick so closely to the average. I understand there's a formula and it works but because this is about having fun, I'm not so interested in following the rules, rules are there to be broken (within reason Pleased) how are things meant to evolve if no one ever steps outside the boundary every so often?
