Just recently bought a Nintendo Wii. I was wondering can you play DVDs on it, didn't want to try it out in fear of damaging the disc or the console. Does anybody know?
Can you play DVDs on a Nintendo Wii?
No, but no doubt you will be able to buy some random mod for it, I know you can buy a freeloader which is basically a crack for all the regions, so you can play japanese games on your UK Wii.
Thanks Paul

Wii is a gaming machine. Nintendo consoles have always been about the gameplay. Sony and Microsoft are more into the home entertainment type consoles which basically means the ability incorporate multimedia such as DVDs.
It makes them cheaper to produce as well...

There's no apostrophe in "DVDs", people! Only Adam got it correct!

What about CD's?
I loves ma Wii
An idiot comes across a magical slide, there's a sign next to it which reads, "As you slide, make a wish and at the bottom it will be.".
So the idiot climbs up and as he slides down he goes,
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!"
