Who's the last stand up you saw? Page 2

I would love to have Seen Bill Hicks.

Actually I did see Harry Hill do about 10 minutes before the screening of his Soapington Crescent.

Ken Dodd in Stockport, stunning

Before that, Frankie Boyle, also in Stockport, Jim Davidson in Chesterfield, Jethro in Nottingham.

Still one of the funniest I saw (apart from Doddy) was the support act for Jim Davidson, a guy called Kev Orkian, I was rolling in my seat, tears, aches, the lot. Brilliant!

A live stand-up? Someone I can't remember when I was about 8. He sang a song about PS2 which I can still remember (lord will you buy me a playstation 2? All my friends have got one I'm relying on you! My skin don't need sunshine, I like being blue! Oh, lord will you buy me a playstation 2).

I don't see much live stand up, as you can see. Although I did see the Mighty Boosh live, and will again in november, even though that's not stand up. I don't see much live anything :(

I had a mad period, between '96 and '99, when I must've gone to see every stand up who was working in this country. Strangely, I haven't been to see a single one this century. I'll probably go and see Steve Coogan, in October.

Mark Steel. Anti-George Bush etc, etc unfunny bore yawnfest.

Yeah, another one whose anti-capitalist etc rhetoric gets a bit old - but I do love his Lectures. All of that side of his work is brilliant, IMO.

And Mark Steel's book, 'Reasons To Be Cheerful' about his time in the SWP is genuinely very funny.

I saw Stewart Lee back in October. I don't get out to much standup.

last week I saw Tony Burgess - writer of The Visit, Rick Right, Mike Wilkinson and Dave Longley, last night I saw Marty McLean, David Ward and Matt Welcome. Next week it'll be Junior Simpson, Rob Rouse and Terry Alderton.

I see quite a lot of stand-up.

I'm going to see Jimmy Carr in May :D

:O For the first time ever I feel like an old man and i'm 23!

I can't remember ever seeing any live stand-up. I was thinking about going to see Steve Coogan, didn't realise tickets were about £50 though, I'm a tight get and ain't paying that. :D

Not exactly stand-up. More like fall over, do cart-wheels and jump off speakers.

John Otway.
