I was wondering if this kids show from Canada ever aired in the UK? It was from the early 70's and started the very talented Billy Van as pretty much every character and also featured Vincent Price doing mostly limericks.
It's what I blame for my love of surreal comedy, with it's creepy but friendly humor. I know a lot of Americans watched it but I don't know if anyone else did. It actually still plays on 3 different channels here in Canada. Anyway to jog your memories Castle Frightnestien had these characters living in it:
Count Frightenstein and Igor.
THe Maharashi
Gronk Who would anger the Count while trying to recant some story. In this clip you can hear the camera man laughing in the background.
The Wolfman (who was a DJ, who would dance to psychedelic beats).
The Librarian
The Grammar Slammer Bammer (who would slam you if you had bad grammar...Aaron would like this character)
The Gorilla[
Bwana Clyde Batty
The Mosquito
Grizelda the Ghastly Gourmet
Super Hippie
The Hilarious House of Frightenstein
