V/O
John Smith, is a man with a burden. John SMith belongs to one of the few minorities not protected by Equal opportunities. Is John gay, disabled, mentally ill, is he a Muslim? No John is an arse hole.

JOHN BEING INTERVIEWED TO CAMERA

My mum was a arse hole, and so was my dad. In my family we've always been arseholes. But people don't understand us, I lost my last job. I ate all the biscuits from the office biscuit, barrel, and then stole the kitty. I can't help it, I'm an arsehole.

JOHN WALKING TO THE PARK, THERE ARE SOME OLD FOLKS FEEDING THE DUCKS.

V/O

John I can't help being an arsehole. You're blind you get a dog, and a stick, you're in wheel chair you get one of those jumbo public karzis, but you're an arsehole, and you get nothing.

STOPS AND LOOKS AT OLDFOLKS

Oi I hope your not giving those ducks bread from your pensions, pensions my taxes paid for. You old bastards, I hope you die and the ducks eat you.

JOHN TO THE CAMERA

I can't help it I'm an arse hole.

OLD MAN ON BENCH STANDS UP AND POINTS AT JOHN

It's him, the arse hole who makes fun of us, get him!

FROM ACROSS OLD PEOPLE COME RUNNING WAVING STICKS, ZIMMERS ETC, THE CAMERA RUNS AND TURNS AROUND TO SEE JOHN DISAPEARING BENEATH AN ENRAGED MOB.

INTERIOR JOHN'S FLAT HE IS BADLY BANGED UP

JOHN

Every days a struggle, when you're an arsehole, no one cares about us arseholes.

V/O

John is there any happiness in your life, what keeps you going?

JOHN

Well some dark mornings, when I can't face life. I say to my self, could be worse. I could be David Cameron, now he's a c**t.

i liked this - it works!!! Laughing out loud

I thought this was very well written - and with a nice punch.

"I hope the ducks eat you" is funny and I've have liked to have seen more arsehole invective in that bit.

I see this potentially as a runner. I'd love to write several, he joins a support group, he goes out with Karen whose a complete bitch, he lives next door to Colin the patronising nob.

Mm, I thought this was very strong.

I liked this one Sooty. Nice pace and well written too. In its style it reminded me of the Victoria Wood mockumentaries that used to be on "As seen on TV"

I thought it was good too.

And of course Not the 9 o'clock news, no shame in a tribute.

Yeah, I liked this too, especially the punch-line.

I really liked this. Very well written and very very funny.javascript:add_emoticon(';)')
;)

Yea have to agree on all the above. One of your best Sooty.

These are good, I can see you getting plenty of milage out of them.

Love the idea of just a total arsehole, no excuses, so no help or understanding or benefits too claim...It's so heartwarming to know that someone has finally recognized their plight :D

Thanks guys keep an eye out for episode 3.

Sooty, these are great stuff. But if I were you I wouldn't waste them on us - get 'em into producers asap. This would be a great recurring sketch to increase the laugh quotient in Mitchell and Webb, for example.

The piece is obviously intended to be funny, no doubt about that, but it really isn't---not at a professional level. There is no tension & release.

The writer's punctuation skills could use some serious improvement as well. He really seems to struggle with where to place commas.

Good try, though! God knows you WANT to write funny material.

Keep writing and keep submitting! We want to hear from you again.
