So we're not allowed to say someone's a twat if they're "mentally ill"? I disagree most strongly.

Of course you're allowed to, but its a bit harsh. It's like saying "he's a shit juggler, but hes only got one arm."

OK maybe not like that exactly, but at least Robbie has produced some decent music, regardless of his personality (which is also one that the media presents to you, not one you necessarily know is him - think back to the long discussions about Gervais' persona :) )

I don't know much about Robbie Williams, but, weren't most of his better songs written by that Guy Chambers bloke?

They "co-wrote" the songs, but since there was a big drop in quality once Guy stopped writing with him, I'd suggest that Guy Chambers wrote most of them, yes. But, to be fair to Robbie, it still takes a man to perform them, otherwise Guy Chambers would be the famous one.

During the fallout Guy Chambers said Robbie adopted a "Change A Word, Claim A Third" approach to songwriting.

Think they're writing together again now.

Saw Robbie in Cardiff a few years back and it was a great show. I thought the performance was far better than anything he's recorded.

CHurchill, Spike Milligan, and John Cleese. Just 3 mentally ill comedians of huge talent.

Churchill the nodding dog from the adverts is mentally ill. :O

Ah he himself would say 'Oh, Yes.'

Actually explains a lot.

His stand-up act is quiet interesting I understand.

Kerry Katona.

Kerry Katona.

Now, if we're discussing mentally ill people, she is the worst.

I know a couple of journalists who aren't allowed to write a lot of stuff about her because it is too disturbing.

Moyles does have mass appeal as do Ant and Dec, Williams, etc. Which is a shame as far more funny/talented people dont make it. Its personality that seems to count rather than ability and its not what you know but who....

Frank Sidebottom is clearly a god however and he will never get the accolades that he deserves.

Other people who's success mystifies me include the entire Osbourne family, Ben Shephard and Anne Robinson. Anybody else?

Ozzy may suck these days but Black Sabbath was awesome.

Love Frank.

Chris Evans is good too.

Ant & Dec are totally likeable people, whereas Chris Moyles is a c**t.

As radio/TV presenters, isn't personality the most important thing anyway?

Seemingly so, no place for introverts but personality can mask talent.

Damn straight, he is! The little buggers always winking at me out of the TV, and telling me to kill people.

He's well sick.

Chris Moyles is a c**t.

Have you ever listened to his show?
