Am I a sad old git?

When you get to this advanced age you really don't feel it - your age that is. I still feel like (I am) a 12 year old which is evident in most of my posts.

However there are certain things you see the young doing that you really can't understand. For instance there were designer labels when I was young (honest) but I couldn't see the point of spending £20 on a pair of Levis when you could get other jeans for a fiver.

Also I would rather spend £15 on a record player and be able to buy dozens of records than £200 and not be able to afford to buy any records.

So anyway - where was I?

More sensible old git I'd say from that description.

Laughing out loud There speaks a wise old man :P

Call me an old git too but I don't see the point in designer anything either.

I largely agree with David and Charisma! :O

Sometimes it's worth spending more money on something - if it's made better, or you just prefer it.

But not for no reason, I agree.

Like you're skint.

If you are skint you should be in some sort of house for the destitute.
Or up my chimney.

Ya I agree it's not worth buying a cheap suit for example. Italian only for me!

Now is that an invitation or what?

Is your chimney all dirty?

Does it need a good stiff brush up there?

More likely a younger man.

Laughing out loud

Oh my!

I'll have to get the 9 year old cockney lad out first, but you're welcome to pop up afterwards and finish off the job.

More likely a younger man.

Or an older one, by the name of D. Tennant.
