Rancid are magnificent. 'And out come the wolves' is one of my favourite albums. They are big fans of a lot of the early uk punk stuff, particularly the Clash, so perhaps that's where some of the accent comes from.

Actually, I just thought of one guy - I think The Feeling dude - who does actually sound impossibly English when he sings.
Chesney Hawkes was the first person I heard sing properly English.
Caaahn't take that away from me he warbled.
Anyone else would have said 'can't' the American way.

The Bonzo Dog Band is so peaky! I never heard them before. Although I could swear I've heard my dad hum that tune before. I just listened to their "Hunting Tigers" song that was awesome!
