For Adam....guitar girlies + underwear = Adam on the floor drooling.

All those dirty words (Jusqu'a la fin)
They make us look so dumb (En plein soleil)
We've been drinking far too much (Jusqu'a la fin)
And neither of us mean what we say (En plein amour)

Nouvelle Vague are awesome, I saw them at the Zodiac in Oxford recently.

I concurr on that, definitly awesome. Now to the next recommendation.

Hey Dan,
Looking at some of the music you're currently into here are a few others: Broken Social Scene If you like Arcade Fire you should also like BSS. It's a bit popier, and has a lot of the members of AF. It's a Canadian super group that has members of many of Canada's best musicians. Metric KOS It's hip hop but REALLY good hip hop. This is an older song but I assume it hasn't made it across to Europe. This guy racks up all the Canadian music awards, hop hop and even rock as his music is never static. Boy's Night Out They broke up recently but i just love this song.

Has anyone heard of the Doctors of Madness.

Mid-70's I saw them supporting Be-Bop Deluxe (come on - you must remember them) at Guildford Civic Hall.

The Doctors had an Electric Violin player (the violin was electric) and I really loved the sound.

The lights went down and the singer - Kid (Richard) Strange had reflective contact lenses and it looked like he had lights in his head.

Awesome for the time but pretty mediocre in retrospect.

And if you like AF and BSS you should also check out Stars :)

I'd just like to big up my own band BTM. It's a brass band which is extweemly unfashionable but we will be appearing in your large and perfectly formed Albert Hall in the Autumn in the National Finals. I wont force our stuff on you but I did do a thread with these nutters before so for any who missed it here it is. I can't tell you how difficult it is to f**k about and play at the same time but these Austrians seem to manage it. Also for Curt, who I believed hated it! 'Anyway the Wind Blows' in my opinion.

If only they'd called themselves the 'Bonzo Dog DooDoo Band.' That is classy.

I really suggest you check out Shady Bard. They're like a UK version of Arcade Fire, but not as BIG sounding.

Late of The Pier are an excellent young band. It is the kind of music that the kids in 'Skins' would listen too, but they're out of this world. Especially live.

LOTP's latest video is so pretentious but the song is really good.

I saw them live a couple of weeks ago and they were great. I've seen them 3 times now and they get better and better!

You wait til you hear 'Random Firl' by them!

I love the Stars! It reminds me of The Rentals and I LOVE the Rentals.

:( I really liked it actually. I would love to see them live. I even tried to download some of their music after hearing their stuff. I just didn't like how the dude kept doing the fake crying. Besides that the music itself was great.

Cool stuff man. Thanks for that I found their song Treeology on Youtube, I think I'll try to some of their music for my Ipod. You really hear their British accents eh? I find a lot of British singers sound American when they sing.

Do people have singing accents? I can't identify them.

Some Americans i find sound British when they sing. Take Rancid for instance.
I love Rancid.
