I'll tell you what I want - Quickie

EXT - A STEET - DAY

A REPORTER IS DOING A PIECE TO CAMERA IN THE STREET.

REPORTER:
The Spice Girls world tour has come to a premature end, prompting a melt-down of their promoter’s telephone booking line. I'm outside Mega Records, the bands recording company, and I have some furious music fans here with me. Madam, what's your view on this latest develpoment in the Spice saga?

WOMN:
It's a bloody disgrace. The way I see it is if all those people in Australia and the Far East are being let off, then it’s only fair that everybody who went to the UK shows should get a refund.

END:

The joke is ok, but it's too late for jokes on the Spice Girls tour. It was cancelled weeks ago, so the shelf life for this sketch has long since passed

Yeah two weeks ago. It was used elsewhere as a topical quickie but I guess you're right. past its sell-by date. :)

Who are the Spice Girls?

Two weeks - is that all? Felt like longer for some reason.

Anyway, sorry if I was a bit blunt. I think the joke's fine, but while a lengthy sketch could maybe be done a while after an event, this is essentially a quick joke that a news type show would use within a week of the cancellation.

The jokes fine, but as the others have said, it's past it's sell by date.

Just like the Spice Girls!
