I gave up with AOL just now because it was so slow. I loaded Firefox a while back whilst building a website for the same reason. I just logged in here via Firefox and it was like greased lightning.
Whats your fav browser?

Erm... is internet explorer a browser?
Yes, yes it is.
I use Maxthon. I <3 it.
I use Firefox, sorry Aaron I'll try Maxthon when I can be arsed to migrate.
Firefox is a meanie bum. I <3 Maxthon. It is sex in software form.
I thought browsers were window shoppers or friendly lurkers. Or huge furry eyebrows! Shows what I know.
Re. Maxthon. It feels like IE though, I can't explain what I meant by that, but I'll try, it feels like IE... no I can't do it. IE has an annoying way of loading pages, what with the sound effects and slight pause between pages and the weird fonts n stuff, I know all that can be changed but Firefox seems to have the most satisfying cosmetics too me, if that's the right word. The only problem is the damn spell check, otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it.
Maxthon runs on the IE engine, which is why. And which is why I use it, 'cos it does nice fonts and looks nice and things.

That would explain it then, lol.
In that case, I'm sticking with Firefox and it's rubbish spiel chequer.
You can turn off the spellchecker, you know. Or uninstall it. Besides, there's a way of switching Maxthon to work on the Firefox engine, I believe.
I'm longing for IE8 now though. God I hope it comes soon.
Quote: Griff @ March 4, 2008, 8:45 PMI'm using SeaMonkey on my Mac. It's a bit rubbish because for one thing Aaron's "add_emoticon" javascript doesn't seem to work on it :-(
Yeah, it doesn't work in Firefox either. Hasn't since about two months after the board first launched.
But I use IE, so I never remember to look at it. Will take a peek now. I think it's an absurdly simple problem.
I prefer using Firefox but for the life of me every time I change the settings and restart my computer they seem to disappear, so I swop between IE and Firefox.

You heard good things?
I switch between Firefox and Safari depending on what I'm doing. I'll be looking into that Seamonkey though.
As for emocons on Firefox I usually just drag and drop them and then delete the access script around the main emocon. Although at this point I just know how to write them out.

Standards and compatibility are never bad. Especially for a web developer.
I use firefox.
For some strange reason, I'm not surprised.
