It's so rare, and so sweet to turn onto some really good sketch comedy these days. Well thought out, well written gems. Sketch comedy can be, and should be more surprising and intellectually engaging then sitcom.
Check out Not The Nine O'clock News, Big Train, or even Da Ali G Show. Or Who Dares Wins. I am so sick of watching shows that seem to say ignore the writing, look at the budget, and the famous guest star.
I think Harry Enfield in his prime marked a high water mark.
