Curse Sketch

Int. Kitchen

Man and woman are sat at the kitchen table. They're eating dinner. The man seems distracted.

Woman: What's the matter, dear.

Man: I'm just sick to death of this curse that gypsy put on me.

Woman: Well you shouldn't have run her cat over.

Man: It was an accident.

Woman: An accident? You had a herring strapped to the front of you car!

Man: It should have stayed out of my Begonias.

Woman: It used to, but then you put that haddock in there!

Man: You know I've never been a cat person.

Woman: Didn't stop you eating it.

Man: But still, a curse? I'm now the unluckiest man in the world.

Woman: That reminds me, my mother called earlier.

Man: She's not coming to stay this weekend is she?

Woman: No.

Man: Phew.

Woman: She's coming to stay indefinitely.

Man: Jesus!

Woman: You never have liked my mother have you?

Man: No! Even less since she put that curse on me.

ENDS

Very nice, bit of quick banter, and a sharp punch, that works. Funny

Are you competing with me for most productive skit writer on BSG?

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud this was a very funny sketch! I would put this in your "best of" collection if you have one.
Definitely goes in my top 10 of favorite sketches from this forum.
And stick with the original ending!
I don't know why but I pictured the old boss from the IT Crowd playing this part and it made it even funnier hahaha

I like it, first ending's the best.

Are begonias the funniest of all flowers? I think so.

Laughing out loud

Yes, I think the first endings best. I'll edit the other one out!

Laughing out loud Another good one

Very good Ben, like this a lot. Laughing out loud

This is another top WL sketch. Funny throughout. The only flab I saw was unfortunately in my tracksuit bottoms.

Just a typo in this line:
Woman: An accident? You had a herring strapped to the front of you(R) car!

I was just going through a rewrite of this sketch and have come up with a more subtle line to end on. However, I don't know if it's too subtle. Should I keep the original line or use this new one? Many Thanks!

Woman: Well you shouldn't have run her cat over.

Man: It was an accident.

Woman: An accident? You had a herring strapped to your car bumper!

Man: Hmmmph, should have stayed out of my Begonias.

Woman: It used to, but then you put that haddock in there.

Man: You know I've never been a cat person.

Woman: Didn't stop you eating it.

Man: But still, a curse? I'm doomed for all eternity now.

Woman: That reminds me, my mother rang.

Man: (GROANS) She's not coming down for the weekend is she?

Woman: No.

Man: Phew!

Woman: She's moving in with us.

Man: Jesus!

Woman: You never have liked my mother have you?

Man: No. Or her cat.
