Raindance Writer's Courses Page 2

They don't 'capture' a page very often, but you might be lucky enough that they came along at the right time.

Personally, as a web developer, I wish Archive.org didn't exist. It captures all ones embarrassing old work. It's a bit like looking back at photos of your clothes and haircut in the 1980s - cool then, terrible now (for the record my crimes were: DayGlo yellow t-shirt, ray ban style sunglasses and a central parting)

Archive.org has copies of the BSG circa 2003, its basically just a guide to five or six of my favourite shows. Thankfully these really early pages are not where you might expect to find them, so they should hopefully remain hidden

Here is the site from three years ago. Even that's pretty embarrasing: http://web.archive.org/web/20050404031803/https://www.comedy.co.uk/

They hidden in the Cliff Richard fansite section?

Aaron's probably hidden them in Blitzkrieg-the Nazi party's answer to traffic congestion site

Okay I’ve spoken to the guys at Raindance. They’ve agreed to refund the money given the exceptional circumstances ie that David is emigrating shortly. On the odd occasions when something similar has happened, Raindance have always offered the person an alternative date, and the person has always accepted. As you mention earlier in the thread David, they have very clear and set rules about refunds, and they were worried about setting a precedent by breaking those rules. I think given the circumstances that you won’t be able to go to any alternative Raindance event, as you will no longer be in the country, they won’t be setting that precedent. Apologies David, hope this is all cleared up now.

David - are you really emigrating ?! :(

Personally, I think its a bit much to emigrate in protest against Raindance, but it seems to have worked. Well done David and Dave, if either of you are who you say you are.

Thanks, Dave. I look forward to seeing my money again.

I vote emigrating to Switzerland.
Any other guesses?

I think Raindance is a clue. He's going Native American... and how :D

I'm pleased to report David has now received his refund in full. Hope that clears everything up.
Cheers

Thank you, Dave, for your help on this matter. Outstanding work.

I'm unhappy that I had to go to such extrememes, that it took three months to resolve and that I never got so much as a sniff of an apology from Raindance for my troubles, but I'm certainly happy to see my money again.
