Larry David and Woody Allen....

...are making a film together. Not many details yet but LD's playing the lead. Should be out next year.

There's a few sources that back this up just Google it.

That sounds excellent.

I disagree. Woody Allen hasn't made a particularly funny film in years, and Larry David tends to be ploughing the same furrow endlessly on Curb Your Enthusiasm. That said, a joint project might be just the kick up the backside they both need.

I think its going to be a teen rom-com celebrating the positive things in life.

Wow, hadn't heard about that. It would have genuinely great potential if W.A. really took the effort to make one last truly funny movie. He's always had the potential. Perhaps working with L.D. will realise that potential. However, I suspect that it may go down the serious route and the more serious Allen gets the worse the outcome.

I thought Deconstructing Harry was quite funny.

I also thought that Match Point was quite good as well, despite getting poor reviews here in the UK.

Like Tim said (kind of), I think working together will bring the best out in both of them. Could be fantastic.

What did you think of Scoop?

I thought Match Point was quite good although it wasn't really a Woody Allen-style film. It was a drama and not a comedy at all and that might have thrown people.

I don't think I've been happier with a director/actor combo in my life.

Huge fan of them both.

I like.

Yipee

Looking forward to this!
