INT - A FLAT - DAY
BRUCE FORSYTH AND RONNIE CORBETT ARE SHARING A FLAT. THEY ARE HAVING A DINNER.
RONNIE:
You know Bruce; I think that it's a shame that you don't have a really top honour.
BRUCIE:
Veh veh veh! Oh I don't know my love. I've got a CBE. That's not so bad.
RONNIE:
But I think that with the contribution you've made to the British way of life you deserve more recognition.
BRUCIE GETS UP AND UNVEILS A GAME BOARD ON THE WALL THAT'S BEEN COVERED BY A SHEET. A SIGN SAYS PLAY YOUR HONOURS RIGHT.
BRUCIE:
OK, higher than a CBE you say?
RONNIE:
Yes definitely. Higher!
BRUCIE TURNS OVER A CARD. IT SAYS KNIGHTHOOD
BRUCIE:
A Knighthood! Do you want to freeze?
RONNIE:
No let's go all the way Bruce.
BRUCIE:
You can change that card. Do you want to change it?
RONNIE:
Yes change it!
THE DOORBELL GOES AND A DOLLY BIRD COMES IN CARRYING A NEW CARD. SHE PLACES IT ON THE GAME BOARD AND THEN LEAVES.
BRUCIE:
Oh I can hardly look. For the Marquis...
HE TURNS OVER THE CARD. IT SAYS KNIGHTHOOD.
BRUCIE:
Oh I don't believe the cards tonight. You don't get nothing for a pair.
RONNIE:
Not in this game! Shame really. Oh well, what’s on TV?
