Fuxall

2 Pharamcy execs are talking (Kim, and Tim).

Kim
So Prozac doesn't work, a nice chat, and a cup of tea works just as well.

Tim
There goes 20 billion dollars in profits, I'm so depressed I need Prozac, damn forgot it doesn't work.

Kim
Don't worry we've got a whole range of ineffective drugs for imaginary conditions. You know when you lose your car keys, and your flat mate keeps saying, retrace your steps, and it's annoying. Well don't feel annoyed anymore with new Plassy

Tim
Plassy ? Oh Plassy Bow. Guaranteed to make me think I'm better, from what I thought was wrong with me to begin with.

Kim
Perfect for the disinterested GP, and the patient too stupid to spell hypochondriac.

Kim
What about a cheap malaria, and HIV drug for the third world?

Tim
Ah there's a new drug Fuxall Fuxall.

Kim
Fuxall? Fuxall?

Tim
Fuxall profit Fuxall drug research.

I would change "Plassy C Boe" to "Plassy Bow" because at the moment, it doesn't quite sound like plac-e-bo, you've got plassy-e-bo (if that makes sense).

All done and thanks, did you like the skit it's self?

I'm gonna have to have a few more reads to make sure I fully get my head around it before I give an opinion. Is it meant to be like a conversation, or two people advertising new drugs? I like the advertising idea, so I may have misjudged the aims of the sketch as soon as I started reading and thought ooh I like the idea that came to my head.

Ah, it's kinda taking the piss out of the way the pharmacaeutrical industry makes hugely expensive drugs, for none serious problems. Whilst at the same time refusing to make generics for people with real needs, and gives all of them ridiculous names. Given a twist by the fact that recently came to light that Prozac and many others have a purely placebo affect. I susepct I wasn't clear enough, so you may well ahve contributed to this skit being taken out the back and shot.

Yeah I liked it SootyJ and saw the idea all right.

I'd maybe find a more natural topic of conversation for the Plassy Bow. The dialogue seems a bit clunky and contived; sort of shoe-horned in a bit.

Perhaps something like-ish?

TIM:
We're expecting big things from our new one for chronic hypochondriacs. We're calling it Plassy.

KIM:
Plassy?

TIM:
Plassy Bo. Not only will they think it cures them of everything they don't have, they'll think it's making them younger looking too.

And maybe then finish on that joke - cut the Fuxall Fuxall bit

Thanks, good advice, naturalistic dialogue is a challenge for me. I sort of view the world as a huge feeder line, awaiting my punchline.

The fuxall fuxall I kinda wanna see if I can save it, as it's sort of the focus on in the joke. But the jokes a thing, so I'll see.

Agree with Blenk's advice there.

Good sketch on the whole Hun.

I think the whole sketch needs a bit of a rethink really, but I think it has the potential to be a good sketch.

Getting closer to the edge?

I liked the sketch, especially the last line
