The one thing I don't like is that on one series the subtitles automatically come one.
Can imagine a boxset but the remaining series are not listed at present.

I thought Patricia Routledge and Geoffrey Hughes dancing on the QE2 was great! Also liked the "sippy cup" episode!
Marlies
I love this sitcom, its so funny. Hyacinth reminds me of my Gran when she was alive, and Richard reminds me of my Grandpa. I have Series 1-4. I need to get Series 5.

According to Wikipedia Shirley Stellfox is still alive.
She was in Emmerdale very recently. I think she is still alive.
She's very much still alive.
She plays Edna Burch in Emmerdale, a role she has played for the last 8 years.

I've had this on some DVDs, go back to the menu and turn the default to 'off'.
I don't think I've ever had subtitles automatically come on. Perhaps your DVD player has become stuck or confused somehow? Certainly never had the problem with my Keeping Up Appearances sets.
One of my DVD players does that with every dvd.
It was on offer at Argos for about £30. We knew there must be a catch!
It's not so bad, you just switch them off automatically as soon as you put a dvd in.
I'm not sure where my first - and cheapo - DVD player is. It's gone missing. Small thing, and played mpg files. Beautiful.
This is classic British humour. This should be in the comedy hall of fame.
