Places to send sketches...

Forgive me if I've missed it, I did do a trawl, but is there a thread on here about places to send sketches to? I mean other than Newsrevue and Treason?

Yo mama,

joking aside try Roughcuts, or Watson's Windup both at the Comedy Unit.

thanks.

Depends what kind of sketches you're wanting to submit. If you're wanting to send topical sketches then all well and good with the current suggestions. If you're writing non-topical sketches then I'd be a little more careful about where in the big bad world you send them. If you write sitcom, you could include two or three sketches along with your submission to a prod company. If you purely want to get into sketch, look at who produces your favourite sketch shows and send to them. Ideally, I would try and send no more than ten sketches based around a theme. Try and write a one page sketch show brief, which gives a theme to a show, indicates how many central performers you envisage. Your sketches should be written to your brief and illustrate what style of humour you're going for.

Thanks for the advice, Tim. It's improved my sketch show synopsis no end!
