Macca vs Mucca song parody

WATCH THEM SLUG IT OUT (TO THE TUNE OF ‘WE CAN WORK IT OUT’ BY THE BEATLES)

Macca:
Try to see it my way
The News of the Screws said
I made you come by rubbing your stump

Mucca:
Try to see it my way
There’s a chance I’ll end up
Richer than Ivana Trump

Together:
Watch us slug it out, watch us slug it out.

Macca:
Try to see it my way
You know I’m worth a billion pounds
So don’t f**k with me

Mucca:
Try to see it my way
That may be true
But you’re 65 and smell of wee.

Together:
Watch us slug it out , watch us slug it out.

Together:
We have always fought
This is a sha-a-a-a-am
For publicity we both do beg.
Life is such a bitch
And you can’t bri-i-i-i-ing back
Linda or the missing leg.

ENTER TWO JOURNALISTS BRANDISHING TABLOID HEADLINES ABOUT ‘MACCA AND MUCCA’

Try to see it our way
We’re losing readers by the thousand each week

Try to see it your way
We’ve turned you all into voyeurs so take a peek

Watch them slug it out
Watch us slug it out.

All together
Life is very fast
And there’s no ti-i-i-i-ime
For asking why
We’re bothered anyway….

I'm sorry if I'm being really stupid, but why is Heather Mills being referred to as Mucca?

She be Lady Muck on account of her salacious past in porn films etc (according to the red top tabloids). Of course, it's a useful counterpoint/adversary/foil to 'Macca'. Capisce?

Macca. Mucca.?

It was half good and half bad.
Some songs you can get away with slightly changing the syllable count. This song has a sort of precise stoccato rhythm, though, so you can't get away with it.

"For publicity we both do beg".

Never construct a sentence like this for sake of rhyme or otherwise. Nobody talks like this and it doesn't work. People do it in bad poetry too and it doesn't work there either.

On the plus side, there was one laugh and it was a good choice of song in that the "try to see it my way" dynamic worked well.

I'd have liked this to be more compact and to have kept the McCartney/Mills dynamic with a proper punchy resolution. As it is it seemed a bit flabby.

Oh ok. I did see some topless pics of 'Mucca' actually a while back. Seemed good. Mind you, it looked as though the pictures were from the 80's.

You know -'Mucker' -mucky lady. Macca = Paul Mc Cartney. It's not lost on readers of The News of the Screws..........!

Thought about sending this to Newsrevue or Treason?

Just done that, Dave - fine suggestion, cheers!

I'll take a cut. 10% of £6.

I'll buy you a Vimto for your troubles!

Well I liked it. Well done Fred.

Clever idea.

Some nice lyrics, esp. "And you can’t bri-i-i-i-ing back Linda or the missing leg"
