The Mighty Boosh Movie

Stand back, as zooo compulsively explodes with delight.

A Mighty Boosh film is in production.

No doubt it will be as successful as the Porridge and Are You Being Served, Dad's Army Films.

Perhaps it presages the end.

Have to say, Boosh is probably the sitcom most suited to a film for a long, long time (ooh, say, since 'On The Buses'.

However, as always with these things, it will live or die on its screenplay.

Ooh!!!!!!!!!!

Could be awful, could be genius.

I reckon it'll do better than the League of Gents movie, but nowhere near as well as Shaun of the Dead.

Depends if they decide to go with something with general appeal, or stick with their existing audience, I suppose.

To be fair, out of all of those 70s sitcom movies, Dad's Army was one of the few decent ones.

(AYBS? was by far the worst.)

Laughing out loud

I'm still quite fond of the film version of 'Porridge'.

More in the Guilty Pleasure strand I have a copy of the movie version of 'Rising Damp', which actually has a disco-ey theme song on it... "Rising Damp, it's running up the wall/Rising damp, it's going to get us all"

Boosh? Movie? *gasp* xD How come I didn't know about this?
