I already feel like a proper man. A non-brain-dead one at least.

Well I suppose it's how you feel that's the important thing!
Quote: Curt @ February 11, 2008, 10:54 PMOooo never saw that episode, do you know what series it was from?
I think it was the last one, 11.
The other day a big fight broke out in a Quebec Juniors hockey game that saw a goal tender cross the ice to fight the other goalie. This wouldn't have made so much noise if the goalie wouldn't have had a famous hockey dad but either way the fight is crazy and I thought I'd share.
They think they're French; the built-up anger and frustration is quite understandable.
Speaking of hockey and built of Quebec anger, I finally got around to seeing the movie "The Rocket" (Maurice Richard) about the famous hockey player who played from the 40s to the 60's and is considered a legend a sort of Babe Ruth of hockey.
I loved the movie and I thought it was a great way to understand where the bitterness stems from in Quebec as you see the hardships of of Richard's life.
You don't have to be a hockey person to enjoy it, it's just a good movie about a very interesting person.
What a silly game!
You know what is a silly sport? Cricket! I have read the rules and had a fan of the sport explain the rules to me and I still don't get it the crazy thing.
And what's even sillier to me (and probably most North Americans) is Pollo. Ridding about on horses trying to bat around a ball? I think skating around on ice following a puck seems a little more sensical to me.
Cricket isn't anywhere near as popular over here, as Canadians and Americans always seem to think it is. The majority of Brits think it's boring, and you'd be surprised at the number of people who don't even know the complete rules of the game. It's much more popular in our former colonies, like Australia, the West Indies and India. As for Polo, that's even more of a minority sport over here.
Polo is basically just hockey on horseback anyway!
Glad to know we're not the only ones who think the rules are confusing.

And that doesn't sound silly to you?
What, the basic aim of the sport, the fact one is on ice, the fact one is on horseback...?
Redwings FTW
It was either that or a pic of me drunk in my hockey shirt with a big foam finger.
Horseback seems sillier. Ice seems practical...when it's the only flat surface you can find around you.
I'll take the second pic Gavin not being a Redwings fan and all.
My brother is an Avanlanches fan there is a reason there is a foot on their kit. Where we step all over them LOL
